About Me
Nicholas Marchand, NCC LCPC
Prior to entering a clinical mental health counseling program, I was an active member in the community attending and facilitating mutual support groups, attending local, regional, state, national, and worldwide conferences, helping men and women recover from alcohol.

In 2018, I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. During my graduate studies, I gained valuable internship experience working with adolescent, young adults and families in an outpatient setting. I transferred into Community Mental Health at the Lake County Health Department working with the adult serious mental illness population.

I have worked in both public and private settings, gaining experience across various levels of clinical care. I hold licenses as a Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor, and I am trained in EMDR therapy. Since 2021, I have been practicing in a private setting, and in 2023, I decided to establish my own practice to provide the highest quality care for my clients.

I am a strong believer in the power of collaboration and work closely with clients to develop effective coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and promote personal growth. My diverse background allows me to tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs.

I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and older adults, addressing a wide range of issues, including anger, anxiety, substance use disorders, aftercare step-down, trauma-related stress, life transitions, defiant behaviors, blended family dynamics, depression, stress management, relationship challenges, and self-esteem.
